The 24 month replacement warranty is real and will be backed up by The Ice Maker Store in full (unless otherwise indicated in the product description details). The reality is that very seldom to ice makers go bad inside 24 months. If there is a problem with the service it is usually another part of the system that needs to be addressed and those can be found in the troubleshooting tips section for infrared sensor or shut off arm controlled ice makers whichever design you have. The Ice Maker Store does ask that all these other potential problems be addressed and looked into thoroughly before contacting us for a replacement. The 8 cube infrared sensor controlled ice maker is exempt from this warranty if the I.R. sensor boards go bad during the warranty period. Sometimes control boards that have gone bad can virus the ice maker from receiving a signal from the new control boards. This is rare but does happen and when it does the seller should be held responsible. The I.R. Boards will be warrantied for the industry standard 12 months.The warranty is void for shut off arm controlled ice makers if foreign food and drink containers were placed in the ice bucket during use. The Ice Maker Store would prefer to work the problem with the buyer and send a replacement unit as the first option. A little two-way communication and even the smallest amounts of give and take BOTH WAYS can go a very long way in business and in life!! Sometimes people make honest mistakes and when that happens we will make it right every time and in very short order!!!
The Ice Maker Store is not responsible for buyer's remorse or misdiagnosed part replacement or repair issues. There is a 20% return fee on the net retail on all returns. All must be approved by Don Schlesinger before any return will be issued.
